So thank you for all the ideas on how to get into my "missing" psych appointment faster... I was just going to suck it up and wait, but then i got on the phone and called to check any cancellations and surprise there was one! So I went to the psych last friday and he said I was good to go!  How crazy is that?? I go from finding out im delayed for 3-6 months to right back on track in a week! I just got off the phone with my nurse and she said they are submitting to insurance tomorrow.  We will hear from them within a week or two. Im crossing my fingers it'll be sooner and i can hurry up and get on that dreadful liquid diet :)

That's fabulous!  I'm glad that it worked out for you!  I had a similar snafu when I missed my last nutritionist appointment because I wrote down the wrong time.  The receptionist said the next available appointment was over 1 month away and also said that my insurance required me to do three *consecutive* months of a monitored diet so I'd have to start that all over again.  I was so upset I started to cry (and I'm not a crier normally).  At first she was like, "OH well.  That's your problem." but when I told her that I *was* going to be calling her daily to check on cancellations she told me that I could leave a message for the nutritionist who might be able to see me sooner.  The nut called later that day and scheduled something for the next day.  HA!  I was actually ticked.  I think that these programs should be more open about that instead of upsetting people so much.  I suppose they figure if they did that there would be more cancellations and no-shows.  Anyway, sorry about the rant, glad it worked out for you and I hope that you get your surgery date soon.
