Random Stuff
I'm leaving for Atlanta tomorrow, so I won't be on here until sometime next week - just so no one worries about me! (I know some of you - no Darla for a day or two and the pm's come a-flyin'!) Visiting a dear friend who just went through a divorce and moved with her 2 yr old son into a new house 10 days ago. I am SOOOOO looking forward to this! Been planning to go as soon as the dust settled on her divorce!
I'd also like to ask for your prayers, if you're so inclined. 5+ years ago, my DH lost his position with a union painting shop when everything fell apart in the wake of 911. He took a $10/hr. cut in pay just to keep working for a non-union shop. The only thing that saved us was the kids being old enough to eliminate daycare from our expenses. My hubby, who has ZERO self esteem or confidence, told me this morning that he left a voicemail for the owner of his company, requesting a meeting to discuss a raise. He hasn't had a raise in over 2 years, and has been too afraid to ask for one. He's STILL afraid he'll lose his job just for asking! But he's a good person, has an incredible work ethic, and there are PLENTY of examples that indicate his employers know they've got a good thing with him. They're just sleazy - they've had NO PROBLEM taking advantage of him. So prayers and chicken dances would be WELCOME!
I really doubt I'll get on here at all while I'm gone, so for everyone who might have surgery coming up? MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU! For any struggles, triumphs and WOW moments I may miss? YOU HAVE MY WHOLE-HEARTED SUPPORT, ENCOURAGEMENT AND WOO-HOO's!!!

I won't see you for awhile, because when you get back I'll be leaving for Florida the 26th, So I'll call you about our boating adventure when we get back.

No Darla for a week - I'm not sure I'll be able to manage girlie! I'll just keep pretending that you're with me giving me hugs when I need them. I hope you have a grand time with your GF and I definitely pray that Rich can muster up the courage to ask for the well-deserved raise AND the strength to stand his ground! I love you and your family more than you'll ever know girlie - and I'll miss you a great deal while you're gone - so I guess I'll give ya a big ol' hug next Friday when I see ya in MG!

Darla~I hope you have a good time and enjoy the time with your friend and her son. I'll warn you it's a bit toasty down south so make sure and pack your sunscreen and shorts! I will pray for you to have safe travels there and back because I know that it can be a long trip. I will also keep your husband in my prayers that all works out with his job and that his boss acknowledges all of his hard work and grants him a well deserved raise.
