...preop question that you asked either on or off the board and that answer still sticks with you today, or helped you the most, etc.?

It wasn't a question, but a quote that helps me the most.  "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels". I find myself repeating that over and over again when I have my weak craving moments, and it almost always keeps me from "cheating". The other thing is TAKE PICTURES BEFORE SURGERY! Going back and looking at them on a regular basis helps keep me on track, and realize how far I have come.

It wasn't a question but a statement that stuck in my head: "Either live dying or take the chance that you might die trying to live" It hit me like a ton of bricks!  I could either live and slowly die or have the surgery with a very slight chance of dying but begin to live.  The way my medical issues were piling up I didn't want to leave my girls without their mom.  I AM SOOOOOOOO glad I took that slight chance and started to live my life the way it was meant to be!  So is my family!   What a great question! HUGS!

...just something my surgeon told me at my preop visit.  "Be a patient patient and don't compare your weight loss to others."   It has made me focus on myself and not get discouraged to see if others have lost more weight faster than me.  Ultimately I know my hard work will pay off and in the end I'll get to my goal at the right time.  It's amazing how fast the time flies! The first question that had me most concerned is "what are foamies".

The best advice I was given is....

The first bite of anything is the best.  The second, third, fourth are just "fluff". Kel
