Butt Kicking on the board.....a rant

Okay-I really don't usually rant here, but so many people have been making comments about 'what this board has become' that I am getting a little crabby about it.  LISTEN UP PEOPLE--- This is an ELECTRONIC medium-open to anyone and everyone who is a member here.  That means there are a lot of different opinions  (note-I said OPINIONS, not FACTS) out here.  I am tired of people getting in a snit because they think something was directed at them personally.  GET OVER IT!!  If you come on this board, you need to recognize that you will not ALWAYS agree with everyone...welcome to real life.  It is easy to take things wrong when using a written medium, as we cannot see each other and read the body language and voice inflection.  Please please please stop beating on each other here-everyone is on this journey at a different speed.  Yes, it is good that we can get support here-but you know what?  if you come on this board and post that you did something that you KNOW was stupid, and you want to confess, don't expect everyone to want to pat your head and tell you it's okay!  Sometimes we NEED to hear that we blew it, that we should know better, that we need help from a professional....and if we publicly post our mistake, we need to be adult enough to take some butt kicking!!  If you don't agree with me, that's okay-but I am not going to tell someone it's okay if they don't follow their program, I am not going to tell them it's all good warm fuzzies!!  I am certainly going to give my support to someone who is struggling, who asks for help, who is hurting-but that support may also include suggestions that they don't like.  That DOESN'T make me a bad person-that DOESN'T mean I am not being supportive-it means that I might be seeing something differently.  We are all human, and make mistakes.  Am I gonna lay down and apologize for being honest?  nope.  Do I think this board has gone downhill?  NOPE.  We have a lot of great people here, with as many great stories, personalities and struggles.  I prefer to come on here and support, not whine about my own failings-I really prefer to do my own butt-kicking to myself..... Okay, rant over-I really do like you all, I just needed to get this off my chest!!!  And guess what?  if you post back that you don't like what I said or how I said it-s'okay, I am a big girl and I won't take my toys and go play somewhere else.  you are stuck with me!~!

Well said GF!!!  Anyone who usually posts here are not the type to intentionally hurt someone or back-door direct comments.  Personally, what is said to your face would be the same thing said on the boards.  But not seeing the tone, facial expressions or getting the feedback in person does hurt the intention of a post. Thanks for ranting.....I know you love me even if you tell me something I don't want to hear....I thought that's what real friends were!!! And you are a true friend!!! XXOO
