Upcoming Surgeries
As I sit still waiting to receive my denial letter from BCBS in the mail, I checked the Upcoming Surgeries link to the left of this screen and was going through it when I noticed my name on there for July 8. I couldn't help it, the tears started pouring down my face. I have waited for what feels like eternity to see my name on that list! But now it's all up in the air due to insurance.
I'm trying to stay occupied doing lots of cleaning, organizing, etc. but every day that I go get the mail and that letter is not in there, I get a little more discouraged. We cannot appeal without that letter in hand. I've called & emailed insurance and they state they cannot fax a copy because the letter was "system generated". Whatever that means. Print it and fax it is what I said yesterday and the poor rep told me that just wasn't how they did it. I apologized. They supposedly mailed it Friday, which means I should have had it by now. I thought I had patience for this, but I just don't. Now I can totally relate to those of you that have had to endure this. I admire your strength.

It took me two years to get approved, in the time since l've lost track of the number of denials. Keep your chin up and don't give up!
