This is way off topic but as most of you know I have always been an animal lover so my pets are like my kids.  Well, my ten year old Lhasa Poo is sick and we don't know why.  I had to take her to the vet this morning as she was very ill and not looking good.  I hoped she'd turn around after she was so sick but she didn't.  The Dr gave her two shots and prescription food along with two prescriptions.  I hope she turns around soon she has never been like this before.  She has gone from   to and for no apparent reason. To top it off I found out hubby won't be home for Father's Day.  Okay, whiner signing off now.

The old girl still follows me from room to room so I'm trying to stay put for awhile.  She has ate a few bites and drank a ton since we've been home and kept it in so that's an improvement already.  But she's slow and sad looking still.  She smells from being sick but I'm not going to put her through a bath just yet.  She's always by my side no matter what. I figure the bright side of Father's Day is I don't have to make any special dinner!

Thanks Connie, she is doing ok with some water and a bit of the food they sent home but she still has no energy.  She didn't even get off the bed when I went to the mailbox.  I told her I was going to check the mail and usually she would pass me on the way to the door.

Oh poor baby!!!!  You whine all you want here!!!  Poor little snoocumbs....I hope she feels better soon -- we sure do get attached.  I don't even want to think about my little Sophie (Shih Tzu) being sick.  She fell hard one night and I spent $400 to get her little arm x-ray'd to make sure it wasn't broken even after they told me it PROBABLY wasn't.  Cried all the way to the vet with her.  That's more than I did when my kids got sick!!!  Guess we pop into mom mode when the kids are sick and buck it up until it's over -- but react immediately when the poor little poochy is not well.  Cause they can't tell us ~~ they just look sad and act not soooo good. XXOO to both of you (you and the poochy)..,,

Thanks, she is still just laying on my bed and has no intrest in moving.  I brought her some food but she moved her head away.  One of the shots she got at the Dr was anti-nausea, the other an antibiotic.  They gave me both meds in pill form to continue at home but she just won't eat and that's how I usually get her to take pills.  I wish I knew what brought this on then maybe we'd know how to fix it.  They said it could take a couple three days to pass, if not to bring her back and they would have to run tests.  I just spent alot of money getting her teeth cleaned, vaccinations and blood work done (she's a senior) and her summer meds (heart worm, flea & tick etc).

You know you love your dog when they can smell as bad as she does right now and I still let her lay on my bed, kiss her and pet her.  I washed out her kennel and washed her bedding but she is in no shape to have a bath herself yet.

Poor poor baby. It's so horrible when they are sick. They can't tell us exactly what's wrong. They just look at us with those sad eyes. I pray she gets better.
