I want to go back!
I just got home from a lovely vacation and want to go back to Kentucky where the days were warm and sunny and the lows were 73 and the highs in the mid to upper 90's! I am glad though to be back home and get back into my routine with eating and exercise, because down south it is hard to find food that is not fried or cooked in tons of butter! Unfortunately I did not get to go hiking or horseback riding because my family members did not fare so well in the heat so most of the vacation was spent with relatives and in the pool! I did get quite a nice tan so I am happy about that! I brought a little photo album with pictures of me 3 mos prior to surgery and then 2, 3, 4, & 5 months out and my family were all amazed at the transformation. The best part of the whole vacation was that I did not mind the heat at all while my sisters and mom all complained it was too hot, last summer 75 was too hot, amazing the difference 100 pounds makes!
The bad news that I returned to is that my grandma's cancer is advanced and she is starting chemo asap. Without treatment she was given 6-8 months to live, but with it they think 1-5 years. I am heading home on Saturday to spend some time with her and am really trying to find something to inspire her and bring her some peace while she goes through this. Any continued prayers would be very much appreciated.
You looked fantastic at group last night!!
Glad to hear you had a nice trip. I can't imagine the food down south but if Paula Deen is any indication I'm glad I'm from the north. I swear she puts a pound of butter in everything.
I will put your grandma in my prayers.

Thank you Kelly! I missed being here and reading everyone's posts as well but I promised myself to be "unplugged" for the vacation. I would love to meet for lunch next Wednesday, but I have to work and MG is quite a haul from Eden Prairie where I work, hopefully I will be able to meet up with you sometime soon though!
