Bananas?

ok, inquiring minds need to know... I have heard differing opinions on the subject, some say that Bananas are a no,no after rny and others say they are ok?  What do you think?  I know they have a ton of carbs but does anyone know if they are considered complex carbs or not???

In my 5 years post, I've never heard not to eat bananas.  Now I suppose there are folks who are afraid of the carbs, but I've never eaten more than one at a time so I don't think it's ever sent me to carb hell.

I've never heard anything about avoiding them either - I don't eat them often, but 1/2 a banana has never had a bad effect on me, and I have been diabetic.

Bananas were one of the first things I was able to eat at the pureed stage. I haven't heard they are bad but I know things affect people so differently........

I have 2 - 3 bananas a week - they may be a complex carb (like most fruits are) due to the amount of fructose in them, however, the other minerals they have are well worth it.  I have problems with my postasium, so I have a regular diet of bananas and they have never affected me in a bad way.  I try to find the smallest ones at the grocery store so I get the benefits without the backlash that could come.  However, if I can't find small ones, I eat 1/2 - 2/3rds of a large banana.

Well if bananas are a no-no, I missed that memo.  I just had half a banana a bit ago for a snack in some milk. :) I know people are afraid of carbs but I like to think fruits and veggies are an okay carb to induldge in once in a while so I don't feel one bit bad or guilty for having them. I have never heard anything bad about them.... they are pretty solid and filling but NUM NUM !

I eat them all the time -- not much of them because they are sooooo filling.  I have always loved banana's so I would have been really disappointed if I couldn't have them any more!!! And for the carbs -- better those carbs instead of really bad ones!!!
