Protein Drink Question

So today I bought some protein powder.  I found an old recipe from a NUT that I remember I liked.  I just can't figure out when to drink it.  Look at the ingredients...is it considered a drink or a meal?  (my plan is only 3 meals, no snacks) And look at the amounts...should I cut them in half?    Seems like a meal to me. 1 c. plain yogurt 1/2 cup coconut milk or heavy cream (I plan on using skim milk) 1 c. fruit (frozen) 1 scoop whey protein powder What do you suggest?    I'm confused

I would cut the ingredients in half and still put 1 scoop of the protein powder so you get the maximum protein.  I would use this as some of the milk replacement. Just my idea.

It is a meal, at least my surgeon would say it is. I have something very similar for breakfast each morning. A different flavor for variety though. It does seem like alot of Yogurt and I almost never use milk in mine. I use like 1/4 cup of yogurt and the fruit is either 1/2 banana or a whole apple, skin and all. Just one scoop of protein powder!! Then I blend it up in my Majic bullet and then add ice.....Nummy!!

I do find that since it is like a drink, I do get a bit hungry in the middle of the morning and have something to tide me over till lunch. Usually the other half of the banana or some carrot sticks.

Hope this helps...

I have a protein smoothie for breakfast every morning and count it as a meal. I use 1 cup soy mil, 1/2 contain yoplait light yogurt, 1/4 cup of frozen fruit (usually some berry) and one whole scoop protein powder.
