I know he's a kid but when do the comments stop?

I can totally relate. My father has always had nasty things to say about my weight, Your mom taking you to Omar the tentmakers to get new clothes? Or for such a fat kid why do you have such thin skin and cry at the the least comment.  He is 75 years old, refuses to change and the few times I do get to talk to him without the interfering step-witch, he starts in again about the weight. You would think a grown man would know better. As I try desperately to learn to let it bounce off and not hurt, he can still make me cry with the comments. So, I don't talk to him.  All I can do, is work to teach my Princess Nemi granddaughter that those kind of words are not needed in her vocabulary, that kind things should be said, or nothing at all. It all comes back to how their parents raised them, what they said to others and about others. Hang in there, the hormones will ease up and it won't be so hard. Karen

ONE session at a time is all I can do, multitasking is a fine art that I am still trying to master.
