Starting over! :)

I joined this forum in 2005 when I was starting my journey with wls. I had to do the 6 month medically supervised diet and thought that would be torture. Well, I finally got approved, but decided to put the surgery on hold. Well, here I am at my highest weight ever starting over. I do have different insurance now(Health Partners) and am told that approval should be relatively easy given my conditions and BMI.

I can't tell you how happy I am that I finally came to terms that I needed to make this life change for survival. I look forward to sharing with you all and getting to know you. Thank you in advance for your support!

Welcome back!!! And good luck with your "new" journey. Come to one of the coffee groups too. There are men at them and you don't have to drink coffee. Health Partners now requires a 5 phone call nutrition plan and they space the appointments about 2 weeks apart. They just call you after having you read a few chapters in a book they provide. Then a couple of calls after surgery. They will move the phone appointments up if it getting close to your surgery date. Just thought I'd forewarn you. Again, welcome back -- look forward to seeing more of you around here.

Thanks for the info about the phone calls. I have done my first one. They scheduled the next one for two weeks. Do I have to complete these courses before my doctor submits? I am totally fine with the courses. They will be done before I know it.

Welcome, we're glad to have you. Many of us did exactly the same thing you did....start thru it, and decided to try again on our own, only to come back. I know I did. This is a great place with a lot of wonderful people. We have all helped one another, and we will help you to.
