I am HOME!
Hello. I am home. I got home yesturday 05/31/08. Everything went on as planned and even better. I was in surgery less than 2hrs. and recovery went quick. I up and moving around before you know it. But I do have one question, how do you handle this feeling of being gassy around your upper stomach it seems like it goes around your back. I'm really trying to get my water in. Its hard when it seems like when you breath in you are full. We'll I am going to walk around the house and the yard a little to get some kind of exercise. One more thing I am having a hard time trying to eat. I am not that hungry. Any suggestions?
I am glad to hear that all went well and that you are back home! Honestly the best thing for the gass is just to be up and moving around and eventually it will work its way out. I agree the water intake is difficult, just remember to sip, sip, sip. With food since you are still on liquids just make sure to have something at set times in the day even if you do not feel hungry this will get you into the habit of having 3 meals a day. Isn't not having hunger wonderful! I hope your recovery continues to go well! ~Nicole
WHOOO HOOOO!!! Glad you are doing great. Ditto what Nicole said about the walking to get rid of the gas. The more you walk, the fast it's gone. Don't let it build up because I hear that is REALLY painful.
Since you are on liquids, just make sure you get them in. You may never feel hungry again (Darla still hasn't felt hunger) but you HAVE TO get the requirements in to stay healthy and lose the weight properly. Doing the plan helps train the body to release the fat because it is being fed regularly, if only liquids at this time.
Good luck......keep marching along.....
Congrats on your surgery and making it home! Now comes the fun stuff! Gas? normal. I'm 13+ months out, and I still toot up a storm! Good thing my family finds gas hilarious... But the PAIN part of it does go away as you are able to walk and get it moving through your system.
Don't worry about not feeling hunger - just eat what the program tells you to eat, WHEN it tells you to eat, don't pu**** - take FULL ADVANTAGE of this newbie stage, when food really doesn't appeal to you much. That will come back eventually - but this is the time to set good habits, establish your NEW relationship with food!
CONGRATS!!
