Hi Debi I think if you are comfortable at the weight you are at so be it! just to let you know that I have Dr I and I always go to my PCP and have my test run once a year in August so it is right before my 6 month so I must have started at 6 months I take it on myself to that the responsiblity to do it becasue its my body not theirs and I am being careful. My PCP is in agreement whenI tell him its my responsiblity to make sure I am not having problems.Good Luck Jim

Thanks Jim, I'm going to see my pcp and get the tests ran from him.  I've heard so many horror stories from people that felt great and then ended up in the hospital.  I'm sure I'm healthy, but I just want the peace of mind that the blood work will give me.  I've worked too hard to mess things up now. I decided to go ahead and go down another 5 and then we'll see if I want to go down the last 5.  Did you experience the rebound weight at 9 months or 1 year?  That's why she wants me lower, so that when (her word) I regain some weight I can maintain at 140, which for my height, age and bone structure is good for me. Good Idea Debi I think that you and you alone have to take the ball and make sure your tests are god and you are having no problems. I found out that I had a zinc defincency and had to take zinc sulfate for a while. I did gain back some weight after my plastics and not exercising. I am working on getting that off now and by cutting out bread and diet pop have lost 8lbs of the 15 already but I would really like to get down another 7-10 and I will do it now that the 5 day started me on the right path to getting back to eating right. I think the 10lbs no big deal as long as you are not struggling big time to get there. I am not sure how tall you are so it is hard for me to say what your ideal weight is. for my height I am supposed to weigh 170-180 I will never get there and I know it but  am very comfortable at 200-205 so I know I can get there. Good luck with everything Jim

Thanks Jim.  I'm 5'6" and the charts all say I can weight between 124-155, but as we age the lower weights don't always look as good as they do on a 20 year old!  I'm glad to hear that you're doing so well after the 5-day and have been able to lose most of the weight you want to lose.  I never thought I'd ever find a comfortable weight.  Did you feel that way?  That no matter how much you lost, you'd never feel comfy in your skin?  I think we have to be the ones to decide when enough is enough.  I'm willing to go down to 135 because I am worried about rebound weight once I start increasing the amount I can eat.  Did you have rebound weight at around 1 year and was it as much as they said it would be? Good luck to you too on losing those last few pounds and maintaining! Debi

debi I think we all go through the fear of gaining the weight back. I know I did when I was at your stage. I actually did a really good job at maintaining my weight up until I had my plastics and thats when I kind of went through this period of eating what I wanted and not exercising and that tought me a good lesson about that Yes we can gain all our weight back if we don't follow the pouch rules and eat more of the slider foods and of course there is exercise. I think at 5'6 that 140 is right in there and I am not sure who your NP was but I think I would be concerned about thier response also. I suspect it wasn't Donna but one of the new ones. The funny thing is is that I have never had anyone say anything about my weight even when I gained the 10 so go figure. I can guarentee you that you will be able to eat larger portions as you move on in this journey so by that point if you haven't been doing everything right like not drinking with your meals and eating lots of carbs and not enought protein that you will have problems maintaining the weight just a fact been there done that!. Good luck with everything. Jim
