Anyone do weigh****chers after wls??  Just wondering.  I was thinking it would help me keep everything in "check" food wise?  If you use it, how benefical is it to you?

I have been doing WW since January, and I had my surgery on March 28th.  I joined(for the hundredth time I think!) with a friend.  She hasn't had WLS, but we walk & go to work-out classes together.  I even ended up telling the leader that I had WLS because she asked me point blank what program I was following since I lost 20 lbs all of a sudden LOL!  THe leader seemed ok. with that and even said i looked really good compared to some of the WLS surgery people she's seen.  Not sure what she meant by that, because the people I've seen all look good!  Anyway, even though I don't eat a WW diet exactly, it does help me with the "head" issues, and I do get some good ideas for healthy meals & snacks.  it's also nice to weigh in officially once a week to see if I'm on track.  (I try not to weigh myself too much at home)  I think over the long term when I am eating a little more and am feeling hungry again, it will be beneficial to go to WW.  ALso, it will be free as soon as I get to my goal weight!   tkdchick

I am doing WW now!  I love it. My leader rocks. I told him I was having the band and he said a lot of people with WLS come through especially after their doctor recommends it. I love it and it keeps my head 'in the game.'

I went to WW on and off before surgery and the program always worked when I stayed on the program.  Funny how that works - when I stayed on program it worked!  :-)    I have started going to OA and OA-HOW after surgery and it has really helped me with the compulsion of overeating.  You may or may not have looked into them before, but they have a questionnaire on their website about if OA is right for you.  It might be worth a try.  Good luck!
