Nic update

Hello everyone. I feel so out of the loop. I haven't been on this board much in over a week. I have been with Nic. Nic is struggling with this chemo. He is so much more tired. He just doesn't have the energy to do the things he likes to do. He hasn't been getting as sick by any means just very run down. Everything he eats goes right on through. Poor kid! I had a great week with him non the less. He just wasn't my usual chipper Nic. I am so glad I was able to be there to go through it with him. I have been trying to catch up on the board. I am not going to be able to answer each one of you. Know that I care and was thinking of you while I was away. I hope everyone is doing well and no major emergencies had come up for anyone.  My laptop decided that the "N" key wasn't going to work so I couldn't get on the board while I was away. "N" is in my password so there wasn't anyway to log on. I had to drop it off at my St. Paul office on the way back from Iowa. It is fixed now and it will be returned to me on Monday. Connie~I was wondering where you had been for a while, but totally understand needing to be with Nic right now.  I feel so bad that he is having to deal with so mch at his age.  This should be the time when he is out having fun and hanging out with friends not being sick with side effects from chemo.  I will keep him in my prayers that he comes through this well and can go into remission.  I will be heading down to Ames Tuesday afternoon as we are taking off for Kentucky Wednesday morning for a week.  Hopefully one of these times we will be able to sync up and head down there at the same time.  I hope that you are all settled back home and that you get your computer all fixed.  Love & Hugs! Connie, I saw on the update you were in Iowa with Nic. It's just not right that a kid has to go through this kind of thing.........What a trooper he is.........I'm sure they were all happy you were there. I keep Nic in my prayers. I hope soon this will be a distant memory, and he can live life to the fullest, and be a kid again...... Take care, Kelly

I feel like I have missed so much being gone for so long. I will be spending time playing catch up for a couple days!!  I was so sorry to read about the loss of Lori's mom. I just found out about it tonight. How sad for Lori and her family. Thanks for the reply!! Hugs, connie d

I sure have missed you !! You are such a loving and giving Grandma and Momma....  Poor Nic... bless his heart.  This too shall pass and I know in my heart he will be just fine and an amazing adult. Hugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Linda Anne I sure have missed you too. I hope to get together really soon!! Thank you for always being here for me. I appreciate all the love and caring you give to me and my family.  Nic wants to be a doctor and help other children with Cancer. He is working hard to keep up his grades and taking classes that will help lead him in that direction. He is my hero and he always just amazes me with his awesome attitude and determination!! WOW !!!!  You are such a sweet, cool grandma !!!!  But the little boogers get under our skin don't they???  I'm loving every minute with Koleby and just can't imagine what you are going through as Nic's grandma.  So damn young to go through this crap.   But WHEN he IS a doctor helping other children, what a doctor HE WILL BE!!!   Hang in there sweetie and when you and Linda Anne get together for a coffee, let me know and I'll join you...
