I KNOW Everyone is Different, but....

I am just curious as to how much people were able to loose in, one month, 2 months ect.

I know many factors play into each individual wl, just curious as to how everyone else did.

At one month I have lost a total of 34lbs ( 17 of that was before surgery during the liquid diet ) so only 17lbs 4 weeks after surgery and to me that seems like not much as I am eating maybe a tenth of what I use to.

I go in Thursday for my 1 month appt.s w/ nut and nurse- I just hope my blood work shows an improvement in my sugars!

Hugs 2 ya all!

I lost 35 the first month (both before and after like you).  Others lost 50+, others 10.  I think a lot of it has to do with the total you have to lose too.  Just stay with the plan -- when you aren't losing pounds, you are probably losing inches.....

Every person's bodies react differently to the limited caloric intake during the initial phases following the WLS. Some people are really affected by the body trying to hang on to every once of fat as it believes it is starving. The "hibernation syndrome" can really slow down weight loss and make some people feel very tired. It is important to just keep on powering through this phase, because the body WILL get the message and begin to let go of the fat stores.

Just keep following your plan...get in your food and water per your surgeon's dietary plan and get your body moving. Exercise is the key to helping the body realize it is not starving and it will eventually get used to the new lower calorie intake and healthier state of being. Keep up the great work and know you are already a success!!!

I lost: 24 the first month 9 the 2nd month 10 the 3rd month 7 the 4th, 5th and 6th months 4ish per month the next couple months after that and now I'm in my 12th month and have lost 6 so far. The good news is it all adds up and the time flies.  You won't believe how fast the time goes!  As long as you are following the rules and the scale goes down, it's all good! :) 34 is great btw!!!  Congrats!
