Its starting to happen!!
Today was my 2.5wk. check up and I've lost 18.8 pounds!!!!! This was from my pre-op visit on 4/29/08 til today so in 3.5wks.! WOW!!! I only had to do a LD for one week pre-op so I only lost 5# but I am very pleased with 18.8#! Its been very easy for me transition from puree to soft (mechanical) foods now. I am able to eat a variety of foods. Dietician urged for more protein which has been my struggle. She said even if its another glass of milk at night or yogurt. She also suggested protein bars? I am a bit leary to eat those...any one suggest a good brand? I DO need some snack ideas for my upcoming travel plans to California.
I can't wait to see what the next few weeks and even first month bring!! Yippie!!!
You have a great attitude. This is one strange and wonderful ride we're on. Enjoy the rapid weight loss and work that tool carefully. I have not found any protein bars I like, except I will eat a few bites of the muscle milk light bars, I can only eat a few bites, otherwise they gross me out so much! I prefer to get my extra protein through shakes and drinks.

Marylou....you were SO SO right about the South Beach Healthy Living PB bars!!!! I bought a box yesterday just to try (need snacks for upcoming trip) and they are SO SO yummy!!! The one bar really fills you up and its a good crunch which I've missed. Have to take small nibbles and chew that til its almost liquid but oh so good!
