Sandie, Who will you see at the U of MN? Will it be somebody in the Bariatric program or somebody else? Do they think the low blood pressure is like a fluid volume deficit due to the malabsorption and restrcition of the Roux En Y? If so, is this an unusual complication? It is very interesting. Were you a person, who at your heaviest weight had normal to low blood pressure already?! Mayo does get expensive because you do have to pay for your own hotel, food, and expenses while you are there, but it is a GREAT comprehensive THOROUGH place to be, that is for sure! Kathy MN

HI! No, I will not be seeing the bariatric team. I will be seeing a new specialist that deals with the symptoms I have, I can't remember his name. This is a pre-WLS issue that has surfaced since losing the weight. Yes, I had Low BP pre op (110ish). They believe that my body just doesn't handle stress well and thus my bp drops to the danger zone. I will find out more once I get to the doctors(either the U or Mayo or both). THanks!
