Reminder for a newbie

Good Morning all... I know there have been a few posts that have upset people and there were some posts about feeling down how the support board has changed since they've begun. I'm fairly new to this about 2 months and I wanted to remind everyone how uplifting it is to have a place like this. This site has helped me MORE than I EVER thought.... I'm starting to realize how unique this situation that we are in is. Unless you have been obese it's very difficult to get why someone would do this. As I am experiencing with my friends and family. They don't get why I'm doing it.... "Have you tried exercising more, eating better?"... so it's nice to come to a place that gets it, because a lot of people (good intended) don't. SO just a reminder that I have (and I'm sure others) have benefited from the support that is provided here.

THANK YOU!!!  I think it's nothing short of AWESOME that you posted this here!   This IS a wonderful place, with what I believe are a normal number of issues.  I think the longer people are here, myself included, our perception probably changes a bit - it IS different than it used to be, because WE are different than we used to be!  We are at different stages of this game, so the way we percieve the threads here probably changes along with us.  You can post one thread, and there will be many different ways to interpret it - based on where each individual is on their journey - pre-op, newbie, loser, or maintainer.  And that's fine - we all just need to take the good we can find and use it to our own benefit!
