When was it okay to wear your bra again?

I know this sounds like a silly question but there is an incision near where my bra would lie and I've been afraid to put it back on.  If I'm sitting at home with a sweatshirt on I could care less but tomorrow is my youngest daughters birthday and I have the whole family coming for dinner (even though I can't eat with them, my MIL was nice enough to offer to make dinner for everyone)....in addition my oldest daughter has a performance at school and I am planning on going.  Not only is the bra an issue but what about jeans?  I am going for my one week appointment today and plan on going in sweats with no bra but I feel like a freak!  Can't' wait to get the drain out though.  Hope it doesn't hurt. Maybe a sport bra with no wires would get you through till you can wear one with more sturcture and/or wires.  Even if you wear it a bit big it will keep the girls reined in better than nothing.  I also wore loose dresses for awhile too.

Silly question?  Well for me, I just haven't reached that point where I want to wear one.  But that's just me.  Everyone is different. P

Hmmmm. I had a high incision, but no drain in and I wore a bra without problems or pain.  I think for a few hours you will be fine....I don't think I would go out of the house without one. Maybe you will luck out and it will rain so you can wear a jacket to school?   Good luck!

Best thing to do is try one on tonight, and see if it falls on the incision.  I was able to wear my underwire bras the very next day with no prob.  The incision was lower down thanthe bra.  If you need to for a short while, you could tape some extra gauze over the wound so that it is cushioned.  I had to do that with the umbilical incision because all of my pants rubbed on it.
