I had one day of clear liquids left....called the nurse today and she told me to switch to full today. I just had my first bite of yogurt... YOGURT!!!

Yogurt.....Something that I'd never be excited about before..NOW is the most wonderful thing ever!

What a trip and quite the humbling experience!

You're going to have a lot of "first tastes" and they're all going to rock your world! Congrats and hang on for the ride!

I remember my first taste of canned refried beans and cheese...it might as well have been filet mignon!  Funny what excites a person post surgery!

It's better to be imperfectly happy than perfectly unhappy.

Hi Elena, I, too, remember tha first spoon of soft food.  Yeah, you're right, what wasn't exciting to eat pre-op, is hugely appreciated afterward.  Hang on tight girl friend, as the new palate expands and the flood of WOWs flow into your new life!  Regularly document your measurements, as when you do (and will) hit stalls, the measurements will convey the truths your scale may hide.  I'm SO excited for you!  Can't wait to see you again!  Take care of you, brand work that tool!  Hugs galore, Patti

I remember being blissfully happy when I got to go to full liquids.  And going to soft foods, oh my goodness, It was almost ******ic!  Welcome to the other side!  It's a great journey.

It's amazing how the simple things like yogurt seem so big after surgery.
