help i am drowning in depression
70 pounds in 3 months is almost to fast. Do check with your doctor as he should be able to determine why you are vomiting. I won't be surprised if he tells you to go back to liquids for a while.
Something that helped me was to eat my protein first at each meal and to make sure I ate my first meal protein within 90 minutes of getting up. Any later than that, your body says "I'm going to starve today" and thus puts everything to fat. You won't lose anything that day.
Use a divided baby dish to eat from. It looks like you are eating a lot and you have something to store any leftovers in.
Another thing I did was give up nearly all sweets.
I am on three anti-depressants. They really do help. I have been closer to suicide than you ever though of being. I was even at the point of taking my children's lives as well, so I know where you are at with the depression. Do seek help as soon as you can. Seeking help does not mean you are sick. Seeking help is actually the sign of a healthy person.
Hope you are able to get a handle on everything. Take it slow and easy. Don't stress out over everything. Don't sweet the small things.
Remember the support you have here. Good luck

Aww hon don't beat yourself up. Don't beat yourself down and throw in the towel. 70 pounds since February is terrific...it's taken me nearly a year to lost 85 and I don't consider myself a failure so neither should you.
Depression is a whole nother issue and isn't that uncommon post op. Please see a counselor to deal with all the different emotions you are dealing with and also talk with your surgeon and express your concerns.
Hang in there and know we are here to support you.

Unfortunately, WLS does not fix us. It makes some things better, but we still have the same brains. Please get some professional help. There is no weakness nor shame in asking for help. Heck, you asked us for help. You have done an amazing job. First, you made the decision to change your life, and then you followed through and jumped through all the hoops. Not everybody can do that. But you did! Then you actually had the surgery, and according to your post, you have lost an amazing amount of weight. Way to go! You are doing just fine with your tool. Keep your fluids and nutrients in check, protein first, and take those vitamins religiously. Call a doctor to find out what is going on physically, and get some help with those chemicals in your brain. maybe some talk therapy will be beneficial.

I don't have one thing to add that hasn't already been said. I just want to offer you a virtual hug, my support, and a pat on the back for coming here with your concerns! It shows us you are healthier than you give yourself credit for, but DO get help. I think your expectations for your WLS might have been more idealistic than realistic. We ALL want to wake up the day after surgery at our goal weight! But it takes time and work. You are doing FINE with your loss!!! Try to see the glass half full, not half empty, k?

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
Your doing great you had your surgery only a few weeks after me and we are close to having lost the same amount of weight. Every doctor visit I've had I've been told I'm doing great and I believe them. Maybe try talking to your doctor or NUT about why you seem to be vomitting so much. I know I had issues with that and it was because I really had to learn how to eat again. I had to slow down. I had to recognize I was full and it was a learning curve that I think I finally got the hang of it just recently. I had to grieve my relationship with food. It was my comfort so I had to find a healthier way to comfort myself. Maybe that is what your experiencing right now with your depression losing our way of eating is really like losing a friend and I think its completely normal to feel depressed.
Again your are doing awesome and I really think you need to give yourself more credit. Before surgery could you have lost 70 lbs? I know I couldn't have. You not only lost 70 lbs but you lost that amount in 3 months!!!! Keep your spirits up!!! We are all here for you!!!!

I am down 73 pounds but I had my suregry on 12-18. Plus I lost some (I think) on the liquid diet. The difference for me was the ability to exercise. Previously I couldn't exercise becaseu my back hurt to just walk. The freedom I got from being able to walk really lifted my spirits. I am guessing that with the low food intake you are just out of energy and are emotionally spent, anyone would be in your situation. You didn't do anything wrong. Find out why you can't eat what you are supposed to be eating, again, call the doctor, they really will be able to help you through this. You have said nothing that leads me to believe you have done anything wrong, so keep your chin up!
