Now that I'm a working girl again, the legal kind.LOL  I need some ideas as what to bring to work for lunch.  The last couple of days I have brought Lean Cuisine, carrots and string cheese. Wondering if anyone had some other ideas what I could bring so I don't get bored with the same old, same old.  Thank you in advance.

I like to bring Kashi granola bars (anywhere from 5-9 grams of protien depending on the flavor), almonds, I will put together a salad the night before and bring the dressing on the side (salad is usually spinach, grilled/baked chicken, cucumber, carrots and tomato), and deli ham and cheese (sometimes whole wheat crackers as well).   Hope this helps!

I take chicken or make egg salad and have it with fruit on the side.  And my all time favorite is turkey ham cut into cubes with cheese cubes.  I also eat the small single serving hormel chili with beans, I think its the beef ravioli (high in protein and low in fat) from hormel in single can servings.   Hope this helps you out....

At Aldi's they sell chicken patties in the freezer section, by a brand name of Fit and Active.  They have several flavors and they are soooo yummy, high in protein and low cals.  I just cook one up in the morning (actually 1/2 patty is all I eat at one sitting), take it to work with some SF jell-o, or pudding or fruit. I also will bring leftovers.  I love to bring chili - one of my favorite staple meals now.  I make chili and put it into 1/2 cup containers and freeze and just grab one in the a.m. and head off to work - easy, no work at all meal. You do need to keep a variety or you will get bored and not want to eat.  I try to keep my food flavorful, sometimes spicy.  I figure I get to eat so very little food that I want to savor every bite!

Two favorites lunches - the starkist Tuna packs, which comes with a small can of tuna, mayonaise and relish and crackers - mix it up, put iton the crackers - more than 18 grams of protein and the perfect size lunch.  My other favorite is deli turkey, colby jack cheese and salami.  I put the three together, roll it up and eat - not bread, no maynaise, low fat, no carbs - I eat two of them - and I'm satisfied - well I also have some yogurt and fruit - but it makes a great lunch!
