What food do you crave?

Before surgery, I'd have many cravings.  But since surgery, the one food I crave more than any is beans!  Seems I can't get enough of them.  Tonight I got home from work and found myself making a Bean Stew out of navy beans, cabbage, tomatos and miniature cheesy meatballs.  I just better not take it to work for lunch.  Could prove disastrous ;) lol

I really try not to think about food at all because then I would crave everything.

that sounds good.... is it from a recipe, or just something you threw together? Sounds like something that would last me a week of two meals a day. I have craved so many things. Right now I am on a salad kick.

I crave pretty much the same things I craved pre-op, and for the most part, I allow them as much as they fit into my protein-first eating.  Snow crab legs are my FAVORITE!  I don't eat them very often, but heck - I can buy just a few legs and I'm good!  Pre-op, me, Rich & Bailey usedtacould eat 8+ lbs!!  The one thing I find myself wishing I could have but I won't go there - a McDonald's double cheeseburger.  Haven't had a cheeseburger in over a year now!  Even tho a bit of bread is going down better than it used to, I still avoid it. Oh - and Crystal Farms Pepperjack Cheese.  It's like a staple for me since WLS!  Which is funny, 'cuz I'm pretty sure I never even tried the stuff before!

I really hate to admit this - but I did have a double cheeseburger from White Castle a couple weeks ago.  My kitty ate most of the bread, but that was the best burger I've had in ages!  I just know I can't do that very often - maybe twice a year.  At least I don't really crave burgers like I do beans :)

I have been craving popcorn- use to be I'd have a bowl a couple nights a week- my daughter still does and it smells soooo good- but 3 weeks post op- Not a chance-

Curious though- how does popcorn work for others? Can you tolerate it or not?

I've had popcorn a couple of time and it was fine.  I'm just glad it's something I don't like very much.
