I WANNA EAT!!!!

NO I'M NOT HUNGRY!  But my head and mouth hunger are ravenous this morning. I made it through yesterday with no problems, but today I just wanna eat - I want food in my mouth!!!  I so need to do this abstaining thing....but I forgot just how strong the temptation of food is!  I WILL BE STRONG!!!!

For the record, yesterday here's my liquid intake: 2 Chocolate Shakes: 130 calories each 1 Cookies & Cream Shake: 120 calories 3 Venti Skinny Caramel Lattes: 160 calories each 3/4 cup Vanilla Yogurt: 90 calories 3 bottles of water: 0 calories Total Caloric Intake: 1080 - That's seems like a lot for a liquid diet...perhaps I need to cut back on the Lattes (I already do sugar free caramel and non-fat milk).  Almost half my calories are coming from them though - not to mention how much of my money is going towards them everyday too!  UGH!!!  I love my Starbucks.  So maybe if I scale back to 2 grande's per day - that's only 260 - which is much more realistic.....I've got some thinking to do... Anyway...just trying to hold myself accountable by reporting to all of you!  Plus, this has distracted me for a few more minutes! I guess I'm off to get some water!!!  Send positive vibes my way....I need the extra strength today for sure!!! Hugs & Kisses! Tracy

OK Tracy, Go online and look for Aerolatte.  My neighbor got one and they are funtastic, they even have portable units and they are cheap, you can make your own lattes with foam, it froth's your milk. I love mine!  It runs on batteries, I can even bring it to the STL Support Group!

Tracy~Do you chew gum at all?  That is what I have found helps me when I feel like I need to have food in my mouth I am just really mindful not to swallow it!  I think you have some great insight about your Starbucks habit/addiction.  I have found that for the most part I avoid liquid calories with the exception of the rare instance when I am desparate for caffiene (like this morning) and then I found General Foods International Hazelnut Cappuccino On the Go sugar free that has only 60 calories.  Even though your caloric intake might seem high for a liquid diet remember that your body still needs calories because if you have a sudden decrease in your caloric intake your body will freak out and start holding onto every little calorie you put in it.  I know that you are a strong woman and you will make it through this LD!  I will be sending lots of positive vibes your way!  Love & Hugs! SF popsicles were my best friend during the liquid!

Good luck, and stay strong!

I was thinking about getting some, but I'm worried that it won't help me break my munching and snacking habit.  I bought some gum so that's helping to satisfy my need to chew - but I'm not the type of person to chew on gum all day.  I just have to suffer through this and try and break my naughty little snacking habit - it's been going on FAR TOO LONG! Thanks for the support!

Definately won't break that habit. Dr. phil says that you can only break a habit by replacing it with another one. The choice for the new one should be a bettter healthier one.

My brother read somewhere that it takes 21 days to create a new habit- not sure if that is true or not.

Tracy,   Your doing what I think I might try next week. I'm giving myself this week to kick it in the butt and stop snacking and eating too much.    Hang in there. SF popscicles really do help me. And this week I've been grabbing watermelon or cantelope instead of graham crackers.    Also Hot tea has also helped me, especially in the evenings.   Good luck. Kelly
