Happy Mother's Day to you too!  I don't think the kids really appreciate what we do till they become parents themselves.
Blessed are those who can give without remembering
And take without forgetting.

I think that we, as parents, get smarter the older the kids get.  By the time they're in their 40s we've reached genius status!  My daughter had an epiphany of what motherhood is all about when she became a mum---before that, she didn't think I did much.   I do feel for her---she's single mom to a whirling dervish of a little blonde bombshell who's cute as a bug's ear named Galen.  (She won't cut his beautiful blond locks, so everybody thinks he's a gorgeous little gal!)

Happy Mother's Day to you Sue and all the mothers here. What is everyone doing? I will be having a broth brunch since my band is too tight these days. It's so fun to see my daughter mothering. She is such a loving mama.

Happy day to you too Sue- I agree about the daughter/mother thing-my daughter started to cry last night because she told me she now realizes just how much I love her, because of what it is like to have a baby and what she had to go through for him.  I am so glad she is here and I can be here with her-it has been an amazing week watching her have her baby and learn to be a mom!  and she is incredible.  she was meant to be a mommy, I am sure of it.  Boy does it warm the heart when your children become parents themselves. hugs to you- lynn

Wow, so maybe there is hope that one day................my daughter will treat me nicely other than when she wants something.  It's a sad day when she cant even call on Mother's day.  Had I looked into my crystal ball, I might have stuck to puppies. :(
