Patti-tat-too's horrible 'welcome home'...
Hello my dear friends! I enjoyed a fabulous (albeit brisk!) week at MS Camp at Camp Courage last Sunday until Friday afternoon .Returned home to a totally silent apartment. My cat Chloe did not come running to greet me like she's done the past nine years, and all I heard was a weak 'meaaaw', sounding like she was stuck somewhere. I finally found her lying on the floor in the bathroom. As it goes, she was severely dehydrated and was kept overnight for IV fluids and observation. She's not at anywhere near 100%, perhaps about 60%, though she just needs tons of TLC and soft food and fresh water.
I was and remain livid that my self-medicating bi-polar ex-boyfriend lied all week about how well Chloe was doing and how much time he'd spent up here with her. Then I find out the good news(!): He's thisclose to being evicted, which I sure hope happens because I've GOT TO free myself from that sick 'relationship'. (We've been nothing more than very casual friends for almost two months now--he's left me feeling totally sucked dry emotionally and financially).
I am getting Broadband installed Monday, so will wait until then to change my avatar and post an update. Will thankfully save mucho buckos since the sick ******** ex-boyfriend got me a Quest modem and will do the installation. Don't flame me, he owes me a ton of money I'll likely never see, so will resume computer expertise through Quest. Aaaaacccchhhhhh!
Gotta get to bed here, as I'm working for a vacationing gal this weekend, which is actually very good, as I really need the extra bucks after the vet bill plus Chloe's follow-up appointment Monday.
Ooopsie, it's Mother's Day--Happy Mother's Day to all you moms and I'll go to work, then come home and snuggle up with Chloe. Wow, she is so not a 'lap cat', but now stays on my lap plus stays in bed with me. This is way too long, though I'll post once I get Broadband set up--got some awesome CLOSE-UP face shots for new avatars. Thanks for letting me vent...catch 'ya later; you're awesome people and I will never even threaten to leave this board--getting online really, truly feels like'coming home'!! Hugs galore, Patti

And take without forgetting.
