Things that made me smile today

I was at a meeting this morning down at Hyland in Bloomington.  Had some boat rental, rescue training, which doesn't really apply to my position, so I found a nice spot on the back of a paddle boat and leaned back to soak up some of God's vitamin D!

I glanced down at the edge of the water, and what did I see?  A WIDDLE BITTY BABY PAINTED TURTLE, NO BIGGER THAN A SILVER DOLLAR!!!  It was so precious, I just had to pick it up and show it to a few other people... SO FLIPPING CUTE!   Put a BIG HUGE smile on my face!  (I let the little precious thing go as soon as I saw it's shell starting to dry off...) Then when I got back to my office, the mail carrier lady that has delivered our mail for 12+ years actually came into the building to use our bathroom.  (she rarely has to come in for anything, we have a humungous mail box!)  When she came out, I was stacking some boxes of staff clothing that had arrived, and she said - "My goodness, YOU have certainly lost a lot of weight!!!  Congratulations!!!"   Yup, that never gets old!  I was kinda shocked, but I'LL TAKE IT!

That is so cool...that is what living is all about.   I want your job on days like today!   :O)

I DO love my job!! 

What a great day Darla!

It was fabulous!  Now if we could get some warmer weather on a more on-going kind of schedule, THAT would be sweet!  I could spend my lunch breaks walking to the lake, maybe even go for a quick dip some days!?!

Take it where we can get it!!!!!!

WOOHOO!! You go girl!!!! Oh and as far as helping me!!! You can help me keep my sanity through it!! LOL....  No actually, I will need help getting dressed and doing misc. things that may come up. We can talk about it more as it gets closer!   THANK YOU for being a part of this special day for Randall and I!!!!!   I love ya!!!!

Wow, sounds like you had a great day!  I agree with Lisa Joy it is days like today I would LOVE to have your job!  I was lucky enough to sneak out onto the patio at work during lunch and soak up some good ol' Vitamin D as well.  And you deserve to hear everyday how wonderful you have done on this WLS journey!  Hope you have a great Mother's Day!

Awww... THANK YOU, Nicole!  If it's nice out, we're having my mom over to grill out some steak & shrimp!  She & I usually share one meal, since she's doing the LA Weight loss thing...   Hope your weekend is FANTASTIC and full of POSITIVE VIBES from beginning to end!!!
