1Year check
Well I was 1 year post op as of May 4th . Today I went for my 1 year check and "I am normal " ( gee first time any body has told me that even after surgery
:) I have lost 85% of my excess body weight . I am down 120 lbs. I can walk up stairs w/o becoming short of breath ( I can even run up them) . I can ride a bike. I have been horse back riding. I can fit in a seat with room to spare and this summer I don't have to worry about breaking anyone's lawn chair. This surgery has been such a blessing . I want to thank everyone who supported me through this. I can never express how much that meant to me. Even on days when I doubted myself the people on this board did not doubt me. Thank you all for your love support and encouragement. Especially those from the Park Nic group YOu guys are awsome Thank you

It's a wild ride, to be sure. The confidence we feel once we realize we aren't that ginormous person anymore is AWESOME!
