It looks like another beautiful day in OH land

Today I will:

Concentrate on my job.

Take all my meds and my water.

Walk

Continue my journey of finding me.

Mindful eating, and as Randall said... chew, chew, chew

Yesterday I

Take my meds vitamins and water.
Did this in spades... I am drinking way less coffee, and way more water.

Walk(gotta do this!!!!)
Did a little of this, but not as much as I would of liked

Talk to Manav... more on this later(tomorrow)
I met with all 3 of my boss's yesterday. I received a $2000 raise...not bad, I've went up $8,000 since I started 9 months ago. I owe part of it to how good I looked on Monday. The big boss noticed, asked if I was going to dress like that everyday, I said yes, but it would take time because money is tight now that I live alone. So he gave me a raise....Yippie

mindful eating
I for the most part did this. I ate salads (with chicken, must get my protein) and a fruit and nut bar by nature valley.. and a treat from Panera, Ya I know probably shouldn't of done that. But the good news is 1. I didn't fini**** 2. I didn't wolf it down between Panera and home.

So what are your goals for the day?

Congrats on the raise.  My boss said something to me about how I am dressing now and I told him how expensive it is to buy new clothes every month or so and he suggested I shop thrift stores!  No raise for me...  Oh well... I don't know what is going on with me right now.  I've gained 3 lbs since Monday and yet I'm eating properly, drinking my water, getting in all vits, and walking!  The only thing I've really done differently is that I've been consistent about walking daily.  I really don't understand and am a little worried.  If the gaining doesn't stop, I'm going back on the LD to get it under control - but it's not the food I'm eating?????  Has anyone else experienced this before?  Any ideas of what to do???? Debi~With the increased activity a.k.a walking everyday it is possible your body needs more fuel!  Your body may be holding on to dear life to what nutrients you are taking in and that is why you have gained some.  From the suggestions I have seen regarding this topic in the past I would have to say make sure you are getting in all of your protien and water and maybe look to see how many calories you are taking in and see if you can increase it at all.  Also, with walking more you may be building muscle, which can cause you to gain.  Hope this helps and you can see those numbers start to fall again.  Love & Hugs!  Nicole

Are you close to that time of the month? How about sodium intake? Carbs? all of these can cause a weight fluxuation.

What to do?  Be patient!!!  If you're eating properly, drinking your water and exercising...you're doing the right things and the weight WILL come off.  Weight loss will flucuate, it will not always fly off..and you might see a gain now and then.  Maybe only weigh once a week and forget the scale for awhile.  I really doubt you need a liquid diet to get under control....it sounds like you are already under control...you just need a little time.... All will be well!

Today I will...get in 100 ounces of liquids, take all of my calcium, be mindful while I eat...heck be mindful of my whole day if I can, but especially when I eat, make good food choices, go to yoga and get through all of the poses without modifications, no snacking after dinner, pack 1 box of stuff, and clean out the fridge. Yesterday I....got in all 100 ounces of liquid, took all 3 of my calcium supplements, went to yoga and did all of the poses without modification, did walk/run intervals around Lake Calhoun (the rain didn't bother me too much), made good food choices, did not snack after dinner, packed 1 box of stuff.

Thanks, yesterday was way better than Monday!  I was really suprised to find that I liked walking/running in the rain it helped keep me from getting too warm.  Now if I can stay on this track I will be doing good.  I found that chewing gum in the evening helped keep me from snacking so I am going to try that again tonight!

Pam~I hope that Kayla is doing better today!  I know that panic attacks are no fun and can be really scary.  80 ounces of water is not bad, heck is above the reccommended 64 ounces a day that we are told to drink!  Hope  you and Kayla both have a better day today!  Love & Hugs!  Nicole
