Wednesday Morning Coffee Talk

It would be SO WONDERFUL if, after all the practicing before surgery, the actual WLS caused those new habits to actually BECOME habits??!! I know I do a pretty good job MOST of the time, but I really do wish the chewing thing would become as ingrained in my brain as 45 years of wolfing did! I have only dumped twice, but I have gotten myself stuck a NUMBER of times because of not chewing thoroughly enough! Including Monday night, on a salad, of all things. Argh... My daughter looked at me and said "you need to hurl, don't you". I said "Of course not! I'm fine!" And then I went upstairs and - uh... removed the offending bits. She can tell before I'm even in touch with it! Grrr.... So to any pre-ops reading this? PRACTICE CHEWING YOUR FOOD TO SMITHEREENS!!! The surgery doesn't help one bit in that department...
