Post Op cravings?
I really think maybe the fear could be used positively. The fear of going back to old habits has kept me away from many foods. I am still relatively new being 3+ months out but the fear of dumping or even worse the fear I won't dump if I eat sweets has kept me away. Its hard but I certainly don't want to go back so I take 1 day at a time. I'm sure the further out the harder it becomes but again use your fear to help you avoid the old habits. Looking at a pre-surgery photo of mine makes me not ever want to eat a cookie again.

I haven't reverted back to old habits....ok, I should say that I had a spell and got back on the WLS road. BUt once I realized I was headed back in the direction I nipped it in the bud! I REFUSE to go back to where I was!! Food doesn't taste good enough to put up with health and misery! It's all up to you! THe surgeon gives you a tool......use it or abuse it is in your hands!
It can happen but doesn't have to!

Hi and welcome..
If you had open heart surgery and your Dr. said dont go running a mile after it would you??
Of course not.... take this surgery as seriously and youll do just fine.
Cravings will be there forsure, but its time to change and rise above the "what I want" vs " what I need"
Good luck

Cravings will always be there..it is all about making the right decision and not acting on it. If you have the surgery why blow it.
Fear of going back to my old weight keeps me on the straight and narrow. I never want to be fat again!!!!
We all need to not focus on what we can't have and focus on what we can have and the healthier person we have become.
