lap-band to bypass???

Has anyone out there had the lap-band put in, but later had the bypass done?? I have had my lap-band for 1 1/2 years and loved it mostly... due to some complications they may need to remove it, and I may have the option to have a bypass done instead since I still have 50-70 pounds to go. I know left to my own devices I will gain all the weight I have lost back... Are there any others out there that have been through this???

Sorry to hear of the complications!  If you don't find anyone on the MN boards that has gone thru this, I would check the Revision boards, but please do come back and let us know how you are doing and keep us posted ps...I had Dr.P too and am soooo thankful to him and the staff there!

Hello Karen and welcome to the MN board. I agree with Sandie...check out the revision board and even the lapband board. Someone there might be able to help you.

Hi Karen, just wanted to Welcome you to the MN board.  I do know that there people on OH that have had that revision done, but I would have to agree to check on the Revision board itself.   Keep in touch here though and let us know how things are going.
