5-2 Today, amidst the blustery weather, I will...

Today I will - not eat because I am depressed about the weather  - keep my hands busy doing things other than eating - take ALL my doggone vitamins and drink my water - SMILE! Yesterday I - eat regular meals        I did eat three meals, breakfast was oatmeal and half a banana, lunch was chicken wings and salad (hubby wanted pizza buffet), and dinner was a wild rice meatball and mashed potatoes.  I also had a couple of snacks - those I have to learn to choose better foods for. - drink my water and take my vitamins        I drank about half of my water - for some reason just blanked taking my bottle with me when we were running all day.  *shrug*  Today is another day and I"ll do better!!  I also missed my evening vitamins.  I need to figure out a better time to take then so I'll be able to better remember something so doggone important! - be happy with what the doctor says and follow his recommendations        I get to go back to work on Monday.  I'm happy with that and so is he. - not kill the dogs for not letting me sleep all night  lol        All dogs are still alive and accounted for.  lol  My moose Gus (newfoundland/st bernard mix puppy) actually slept in until 6am today!

Today I will...be mindful while eating, if I need a snack choose from the healthy snacks I have packed (my Genisoy order came in so I have a variety of goodies to choose from), not eat in secret (big issue for me as I will be up at my parents house all weekend), be patient with my nephews and traffic (I am meeting my sister here in the cities and then taking my nephews up to my parents place with me), get in 100 ounces of water, take all of my calcium. Yesterday I...got in all 100 ounces of water, took all of my calcium, was mindful while I ate, had a good healthy snack after yoga last night (I needed it), did a 90 minute Hot Yoga class (it kicked my butt, but felt really good).

Sneaking food has always been an issue with me as well.  I used to get things at the grocery store and wolf them down in the half mile before getting home.  I could pack away at least a package of cookies... what in the heck leads to that kind of despiration!?! Have fun with the kids!!  Hope the weather is better down that way than up here! and CONGRATS on that Yoga class!  WTG!!

I know that I started sneaking food when I was in 6th or 7th grade because that was when I was being put on really strict diets like Slim Fast so I would hide food in my bedroom or sneak some goodies in my coat on my way out to the barn and eat them when no one else was around.  I truely believe that I had a food addiction because even when I lived with roommates who didn't care what or how much I ate I would still sneak food.  Living by myself for the past year has made the eating even more dangerous because there is no one there to answer to but myself.  I am hoping that now that I have some healthy snacks I will not feel the need to hide and eat but will know that if I am hungry I can have something and not feel ashamed.
