6 boxes of SlimFast...

My liquid diet starts in two days and I stocked up on SlimFast. I can drink 6 of them per day... which sounds like a lot but who knows what it'll  be like when i get there. I have Strawberries & Cream, Chocolate, and French Vanilla flavors. It also said I could do Boost or Ensure. Anyone try those? What did you think?

2019: 11 years out and maintaining a loss of 150lbs.

The only protein drink I could stand was the Boost strawberry.  I must have tried 6 or 7 varities but really liked the boost.  Good luck on your LD.  You're so well organized it will be a breeze for you! Bonnie

I found that chocolate boost with extra protein is the best for me anyway.  You are going to do great!

I actually just drank milk with sf carnation instant breakfast.  I wasn't a fan of any of the other drinks as I had, had Slim Fast one to many times.  Look at you getting all organized!  You are so gonna rock this tool!  Oh, and don't forget to stock up on sf popsicles it helps give you something to crunch!

Boost makes a higher protein version, in little maroon bottles.  It was a bit thick for me, but I drank it just to get the protein in ! You might want to find some form of chicken boullion/stock/broth for those moments when the sweetness of the protein drinks and popsicles gets to be sickening.  I LOVED my Unjury chicken broth!  Some people would do good 'ol Chicken Noodle Soup - just strain the solids out and drink the broth.  STILL sounds good to me!  But then, I'm more of a salty person than - oh hell, who am I kidding?  I like sweet, too!  But if you set me in front of two bowls, one with M&Ms and one with potato chips, I'd do the chips, for sure. Looks like you are very prepared and ready to kick that liquid diet in the butt! :) I'm with Darla too - stock up on some chicken or beef broths.  I loved that - great break from the monotony.  I brought a thermous to work and sipped on chicken or beef broth from ramen noodles (I chucked the noodles and just made the packet with water) or strained Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup.   Good luck - the countdown is about to begin!!!! I also did Chocolate flavored High Protein Boost. That is what my surgeon recomended. There are other flavors but I didn't care for those. I also used " Better Than Bouillion " brand bouillion. The chicken was my favorite. It is a little more expensive then other brands but it is really good. It come in a paste form in a glass jar. Once it is opened you need to keep it refrigerated. It sure hits the spot when you get tired of the sweet drinks, SF popscicles,SF Crystal Light and SF Jello!!! Something warm is so comforting especially at night.  You sure are doing a great job of preparing...good for you!! Hugs, connie d
