Thank you! Yeah I have started comparing myself to my sister's lately because I have always been so much bigger than they were. I can't wait until I am the same size as them!

Nicole, you say "vain" as if it's a BAD THING! WORK IT, GIRLFRIEND! You have every right to look at yourself and be HAPPY with what you see! If that makes you vain? BRING IT ON! Wear that diva crown with pride! Beats the hell out of avoiding yourself, doesn't it???

You have a very good point Darla! When I was looking for pictures to bring to support group last week I noticed that I only have 3 or 4 pictures of me from the time I graduated high school until after my surgery....guess I avoided the image of myself more that I ever thought!

I know what your saying. I went to a family reunion 2 years ago, and the pictures really hit me. I tried telling myself it didn't matter, I was a good person. Now I know I was a good person miserably stuck in a huge body. Now I am a much happier person, in a smaller body. still not real comfortable with my picture yet. As it took me so long to update my avatar. But it does get better.

So I agree with Darla, work it girl, and wear it with pride.

I am not short... I am fun sized!!

You're so cute. I think we avoided looking at ourselves for sooo long when we were heavier, that now when we look, it's like introducing ourself to a new friend....someone we never saw before and we just have to stare. We have so many new things happening to us with our bodies, that's it hard to keep up sometimes. Some of us have a hard time even accepting our new body imagines, but it is what it is and it's good to know what we look like. I say stare away and make friends with the cute gal in the mirror!!! p.s. you're cute inside and out too!!!

Thank you Edi! That makes a lot of sense. 2008 has introduced me to a whole new person both inside and out so I will keep in mind the fact that I need to take the time to get know who I am becoming. It's so nice not to cringe when I see my picture now!
