Well, I did it this time!! My computer is toast!!! Actually, its my dad's laptop (he is not too happy, but is handling it better than I thought he would). Geek squad gave it back to me and said there is nothing they can do for it. It quit in the middle of there tests. Sooo..........My dad is going to try to see if there is something he can do. But either way, he may be getting a new computer soon, from me. He had an older one and we are now sharing it. They refunded me most of the money I prepaid to fix it, thankfully!!!

My BIL is my own personal geek squad... for a lasagne dinner, the man doubled my memory, gave me a new CD/DVD burner, and cleaned out 7 years of accumulated viruses and CRAP! He's an electronic wonder boy... but I WAS ready to go out & buy a new one, just 'cuz they're so much less expensive now!

After many computer issues in the past. My last computer I bought at Best Buy with the extended coverage so that I can take it in and get instant care. When you buy online or other places keep in mind the ease of getting it fixed. Do you have to mail them your computer to be fixed and be left with nothing for weeks? Yikes. Good luck finding a new one.
Aww sorry are having computer issues Lucy. Computer probs are the worst - especially if you are a bit attached to your comptuer (like me). lol
We put $400 into my hubby's computer in January (Geek Squad) and it hit the fan again last week so thankfully I have my spare Dell that'll do for now.
