On Thursday I'll be 4 months out. This month I have only lost 4 pounds........ My hunger has come back like a vengence........I was only eating 1/4 cup in March, this month I've upgraded to 1/2 cup to now a cup.........I can eat alot at one sitting, why??????? Sometimes I think it's head hunger, but other times my stomach is growling.......And I'm hungry. Is my pouch streched out? I've NEVER gotten in my water or protein......I'm working on it. My water intake has gone up from 40 oz. to 60 oz. I'm sure with eating more my protein is pretty close. It seems like drinking more water makes me more hungry???? I get this growly feeling in my tummy. Example from yesterday: Breakfast- 1 cheesy egg & 4 bites hasbrowns & 1/4 cup green grapes                                     Lunch- 1/4 cup chicken teriaki stir fry AND 1 piece pizza                                     Supper- 3 oz, steak, 5 bites peas, 1/2 peeled apple                                     snack- sf fudge bar                                     water 60 oz. Walked on treadmill 2 times and raked rock out of grass. Trying to get in sit up's & running up & down steps, every other day. Any advice for the hunger? Any meal plans you can share?  I'm lactose intolerant, so can't drink milk, or eat cottage cheese. And very little cheese....... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kelly

First off Hon! "only 4 pounds"....that's 4 pounds ya wouldn't have lost prior surgery.  And this may be a season of losing inches for you....and you have lost alot so the closer you get to goal the slower the loss!   As far as the eating, track your calories. Maybe eating smaller meals more often (NOT A DOC< JUST A THOUGHT).... Hang in there, do what you are suppose to and it WILL happen(maybe slower now tho) Hugs

Sandie, Thanks, I think I'm going to call the nurse. I feel I'm just way to hungry and am eating way to much. I may be loosing inches, and I know the weight slows down, It's just scary that I feel hungry. Kelly

I am almost 6 months and I can eat almost a cup. I try not to eat all that, but i definately can. I just don't put that much on my plate, otherwise i lose track.

I have lost 6 pounds in a month, so pretty close to you.

I use a very small plate, a little bigger than a coffee cup plate holder. I need to up my protein, so will work on that, then maybe I'll eat less with less hunger. Your picture looks great! When do we get to see the face? Kelly

Kelly, honey, Sandie is right.  The closer you get to your goal, the slower the weight will fall off.  That's a GOOD thing!  Gives your little bod time to adjust and re-arrange!   I can't really talk to the hunger issue, 'cuz I haven't gotten mine back - and I pray I never will, frankly! Oh HEAD hunger is there, for sure, but my stomach doesn't growl unless it's about to burp out one end or the other...  1 cup of food at 4 months IS a bit much, according to PNC guidelines, anyway.  Basically, they figure 3 months = 1/4 cup, 6 months = 1/2 cup, 9 months = 3/4 cup, and 1 year = 1 cup.   But you are so close to your ideal weight already (at least you sure LOOK it!!!), if eating a cup isn't upsetting your pouch, maybe you are ready for it?  Maybe a call to your doc would reassure you - or give you the kick in the butt you're looking for.   Me?  I can't kick you in the butt.  It's too cute.  (especially in those bling jeans of yours...)

Darla, You guys are right about the weight slowing when you get close to goal, it just sucks...... Burp out one end or the other.....  Your to funny.......... I know 1 cup is way too much............I'm scared about eating that much, but not full if I only eat 1/2 cup???? I'm going to call the nurse tomorrow and see what she says. I'm going to wear my Bling jeans Saturday, I love those, I feel like a teenager again........ Thanks, Kelly

Okay normally I have a STRICT rule about comparing but I'm going to break it this once to prove a point You have been able to achieve in 4 months what has taken me 11 months to acheive!  I lose approximately 4 pounds a month since last November...totally normal for me.  I am getting closer to goal myself so it's to be expected.  Yet, I have never once complained and you won't find me doing it because I'm so grateful that the scale is no longer going up.  Look on the bright side - where were you 4 months ago?  Look at where you are now!  4 pounds is 1 pound a week  - that's actually a very healthy weight loss this close to goal!  You are doing FANTASTIC! If it makes you feel at ease, go ahead and call your surgeon's office.  It can't hurt.  But just remind yourself that those 4 pounds a month will be 20 pounds before you know it.  Just think of how fast these last 4 months have flown and so will the next 4 months! So hang in there, keep plugging and you will be at goal in no time.  (((Hugs))) Michelle
