Ok, I read a few pages back about David's Bridal having issues.  In fact, I was there today and over heard a covnersation about them messing up something for a customer.  What is everyone's opinion and experiences with them???  What do you all think about the wedding shoppe on Grand avenue??  Any other wedding shops that you would suggest?? I was going to order my invitations online from David's bridal and saw some ideas for bridemaids dresses there I liked, but now I am concerned they may mess them up.  I can't afford the time or money for them to mess up. Any advice or opinions would be helpful!! Love you ALL!!!!

Angeliques Bridal in Blaine was fantastic!  Individualized attention and a very calming and quiet atmosphere.   (you take your shoes off at the door, lol) They send away for your dress after you've put half down and then you can make payments.  They have a tailor on site too.   I did David's Bridal for my first wedding and Angeliques for my second wedding (the one to my soulmate and love of my life that God planned for me) and if I had to pick I'd go back to Angeliques in a heartbeat. Good luck! Michelle

Oh guess I should have sent the link.  Before I went, I was afraid the prices would be outrageous, but they were not.  My dress was $450 and it was the dress of my dreams that I found on line.  Alterations are separate though.  Grand total of dress, alterations, shoes and veil was about $800 which I didn't think was too outrageous. http://www.angeliquesbridalsalon.com/home.php

I went to David's Bridal for my wedding dress and was able to buy off the rack without alterations, so it went fine.  My sister in law bought a dress there and all of our bridemaids dresses there and there was only one problem.  They put the bow on the dress and she did not want the bow, so they just had to take it off.  Both experiences were fine,,,prices were great for both of us 150 and 99 can't complain.  THen we added the shoes and the veils for more of course.

The Wedding Shoppe on Grand is fantastic!  I have dealt with them for a few weddings (not my own!)  and have had a ton of success with the bridesmaid side of things...... Good luck!

I went to the wedding shoppe on Grand. If you buy your dress that day you get like 10% or 15% off the cost of the dress. I then found someone to alter my dress instead of going through there. My sister went through there and the alterations ended up costing JUST as much as the dress because they make you go in three times. I had a lady in Eagan alter it, she did a great job and only cost me 100 dollars. So for dress I LOVED the wedding shoppe the dress wasn't too much and they have a great variety. One other aspect I liked is you make an appointment have someone with you and there are only 3 or 4 other girls trying on dresses, makes you feel pretty special. David's Bridal felt too department story for me. I also did my bridemaids through wedding shoppe and had the same lady alter them. Good Luck and CONGRATS it will be a WONDERFUL day!

there is a place in oakdale - called bridal center - not fancy looking on the outside - but inexpensive dresses - I went there with my sis - she got a nice dress really cheap.

Lucy- I got my wedding dress at The Wedding Shoppe in 2006. They were FANTASTIC to work with! I did get the bridesmaid dresses at David's and didn't have any real problems. You just feel more like a # at David's. The Wedding Shoppe is about service.  Hope this helps- Meridee
