Surgery in Crosby

Has anyone had surgery in Crosby? I am just wondering what your experience was there.. Thanks!

No - come to Brainerd.  It's only 20 minutes away!  Hehe... I work in Brainerd at SJMC.  Are you having the band or the RNY Bypass?  We just had a new nurse start working with us from Crosby.  He semed to like working there.... jusy not enough hours so he came to us.

after doing my research and talking to others i am thinking rny. i am still trying to learn as i go.. i will look into brainerd, my insurance has pretty slim choices.. so we will see. but thanks for the idea!

You live in Duluth? Why travel out of Duluth for surgery? You have some great options in Duluth! And if you're going to travel, why not to the Cities?

because dr.medlin is the only one at duluth clinic and right now it's looking like it might not happen by the end of the year because he is so backed up. i have patience, but come dec/jan my insurance deductible starts over and well that would suck :) i have thought about the cities but i don't think any place down there is in network with my insurance (first plan).

Juliana - have you told Dr. Medlin's office that due to insurance you'd need to have a date before December? I am sure he is a busy guy, but I'd have to believe they can find a spot on the schedule for you - the insurance deductible is a big deal for many. And call every day to see if there is a cancellation on the calendar because that paid off big time for a friend of mine and it shows you're serioius about this. Good luck!!!
