Quite the eventful day....

I went to work, as usual.... and as I'm working, I start feeling pain in my gut right below my ribcage. It hurts in the front and in the spine. It got so bad that I couldn't breath very well. I tried stretching my back...doing anything to get it to go away. No go. Finally I told the other producers that I  needed  to go outside because I couldn't breath. I walked around back and forth a ton trying to get it to go away.. no go. The security guards (off-duty cops) saw I was suffering and tried to help. I started crying in pain. They notified the newsroom and one of the news anchors came to see what was wrong...so much for keeping things on the down-low. They convinced me to call an ambulance(telling me that they can just check me out).... quite the sight.. the fire department and ambulance comes rushing-- with sirens and lights -- onto the property of a news station. lol. Not one paramedic...but about 5 come and put me on one of their cots and wheels me into the ambulance. I keep telling them I am slowly getting better (I took 4 Advil) and that I DO NOT  want to go to the hospital. They tell me I have no choice...   made me kind of  frustrated. One of the guys  starts asking me about  our anchor Jessica Miles..."Is she nice? Is she married?" lol I ended up at United Hospital in St. Paul.... by that time I was all better. I refused medical attention and my roommate picked me up and took me back to work to pick up my stuff. I come in and the whole newsroom has their ears perked... but everyone is very sympathetic. News travels fast....in a business like ours. Needless to say, I am alive.. and I think it was my gallbladder.

at least you know the people you work with care about you...........and just think in a couple of weeks you have your surgery and maybe your Dr will take out that pesky gallbladder at the same time. Maybe he'll even serenade you with a little "whats new pusycat" or "she's a lady".............woh oh woh oh woh she's a lady................I think the hair is just like his too.........lol....

I've heard other people describe gall bladder attacks in the same way.  I pray mine never goes out on me.  It's nice to know that your coworkers care though.  Good luck, hope it doesn't bug you any more until you get surgery.  I don't know if this is true or not, but I've heard that certain types of food can trigger an attack.
