Thanks for the heads-up, Nicole. I did a search on the FDA site and got this--Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) Information Page ... Search. Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) Information Page. ... In addition, FDA has issued a public health advisory concerning phenylpropanolamine. ... www.fda.gov/cder/drug/infopage/ppa/default.htm - 05-07-2007 - Cached So even a year ago this was warned against. Thanks for the additional info.  I am going to double check with my sister just to make sure she knows about this, but since my other sister is a pharmacuetical nurse who works in research I am assuming that she probably does.  Good to know too for those who are fighting obesity without WLS and look to medications to help supress their appetite.  Still it is scary stuff, to think I had no clue and could have been taking some of these things. Hello~ I received this email as a forward from someone who forwarded it from someone else, etc, etc.  The FDA alert is from 2005, with no recent warnings on the FDA site. I have also gotten 'stung' by things that I should have checked out on Snopes.  Two of my kids seem to take too much delight on calling me on things that Snopes declares fraudulant.   When things seem to be too good to be true...or too bizarre to be true...check Snopes! Have a good day!
