HEY PEOPLE!!
Oh my gosh can I just tell you that I tried to run today. Oh what a fun sight that would have been for others. I had a huge problem my bra straps kept falling down that it was driving me nuts. I was so afriad that everything would just start falling out. Oh even scarier.
So I was wondering do you have any suggestions on a good sports bra? I need the straps to stay put and the twins to stay in....
Well, I stopped running fairly quickly into my attempt to run. So I decided I would just walk instead. Notice I did not give up!! Well holy smacker I can walk fast! Who knew!! I have always walked with the husband or the child and well they slow me down. Not to mention the extra 100lbs I had been carrying around. It felt so great to walk so fast and have no issues or be out of breath. I might start to like this exerise thing!!
Key word here is might!!
Hope you all have had a chance to enjoy the weather today.

Angela,
I have yet to find a good sports bra that I really like. I am also in the process of trying to find a good sports bra since I have melted out of mine and being turned upside down for half of my yoga practice is proving to be a challenge to find something to hold my girls in while hanging upside down. Great job on not giving up and discovering speed walking. I find I really enjoy walking fast I get a certain sense of accomplishment as I pass others on my path. I had planned on going for a walk this afternoon, but my 1/2 trip to the doctor ended up being 1 1/2 hours most of it spent in the waiting room. Keep up the good work and hopefully you can find something to keep the girls secure.
Love & Hugs!
Nicole
Congrats on your running walk!!! I love speed walking but it does get lonely -- leave everyone in the dust. That's one reason I don't walk before coffee in Burnsville -- I go way fast!!! No good bra ideas unless it's a sports bra -- wide straps and they WILL hold the girls in place.... See you at coffee on Saturday!!!
YOU GO GIRL!!
DH and I have been turning parts of our normal walk into a run too. It's most effective to run in spurts then walk and so on...you don't need to be a "runner" all at once - that might actually prove to be painful and cause you to stop.
Anyway....our goal is to run half of our normal walk by July 4th. Guess what? After only about a month of "spurt" running - we nearly did it last night!!! Entirely possible that we could achieve our goal by the end of this month yet. Woo hoo!!!
Even better, our neighbor sees us out walking and running everynight and she decided this week that she'd start walking too. She goes earlier than us, but wanted to let us know she'd been walking because of us cause she's seen us losing weight, etc. She'd be a great wls candidate too - but I'm just happy to for once in my life be an inspiration to someone in favor of better health.
Have a fantabulous day!
