Letting you know.

Hi Friends: I have decided to wait with any WL surgery for now.  I was doing research and got a little freaked out by some of the stuff I read (complications) and decided to hold off until the fall and re-visit it again. I joined weigh****chers tonight in hopes of being able to train myself to eat right and maybe work on some of my emotional eating.  Although it kind of made me feel down after the mtg was over.  Any ideas why that happened? I would like to stay on this website and keep following all of your successes.  Anyone mind?  I am also looking into the DS WLS when the time comes - I have notice one person on here that had that surgery, wondering if they would share experiences, etc. Thanks so much for everyone being so kind....

We actually have more than one member on our forum with the DS already and I'm getting mine in 20 days - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally get the freaking out - you do need to be "there"...."ready".....otherwise, it s smart to wait...

I can tell you this:  when my RNY was postponed....I rejoined WW and felt awful .....maybe "down" as you said....because I knew in my heart, *I* couldn't succeed - I had done it so many times......but I went ahead and had minimal success for a short period of time (typical of all my other WW experiences) and realized I needed WLS or I was never going to achieve success in losing.

Good luck to you and of course, stick around!!!!

I am on both WW  and doing  WLS.  Doc says it's a good combination. No matter your path, whatever you do to help your health is the RIGHT choice.:-)
