Nutrition Program

The studio I am taking yoga classes at is offering a nutrition program that runs over 3 days and includes a combination of yoga and nutrition to create a healthy body.  The program includes a cleanse and different body tests.  I met the woman who runs the program and let her know that I was interested, but wondered if it would work because of my WLS.  She really interested and we talked for quite a while about what I can and can't eat, the no drinking with/before/afer meals and how things have gone for me thus far.  She reccommend I talk to my doctor, so tomorrow at the PNC support meeting I am going to talk to Barb about it and see what she says.  I would really like to do it because one of the things they help you to find out is food sensativity and foods that are good for different aspects of your body type.  I have always been curious about finding out what to eat to be really truly healthy and but I am debating, because I am not sure how much I will be able to apply since we really have to do the protien first, but who knows.  The woman who runs the program said that she would not go against anything my program has said, so they won't be asking me to stop my vitamins and supplements or eat a lot of carbs.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Love & Hugs,

Nicole

I'm with Sandie...if your surgeon's office gives it the green light  then I don't see why not.  The lady sounds like she is willing to work with you and around the post-op recommendations of the surgery so that's great. Good luck! (((Hugs))) Michelle :)

Thanks!  The woman who is leading the program seems really open to learning about the nutritional aspect after WLS, she actually asked me to keep in touch regardless of whether or not I take the class.  She was really interested in hearing how things work and so I think my taking the class will be a learning experience for both of us.
