Tuesday Coffee Talk

Good Tuesday morning everyone!  It's good to be alive isn't it?  Today is going to be a WONDERFUL day.  Lucy is up at the Pastor's home and getting dressed.  Today we are going to spend some time here at the church.  She LOVES it here.  We've been to the infamous "Chicken Shack", ball park, coffee shops, you name it.  LOL  Everyone is making her feel right at home.  I hope she isn't overwhelmed with all the Luverne folks that have met her.  Everywhere we go folks are wanting to meet Lucy.  You know how small town Alabama can be.  The "Friendliest City In The South" is living up to it's moto I guess.  LOL  Our challenge today is to do exactly that.  Be friendly.  Why be so harsh and seperate all the time?  Why not change that straight hard nose thinking and face to a smile and a thank you or yes ma'am sometime?  People LOVE and DESIRE friendships.  So today, let's all be friendly everywhere we go!  Not just today, but EVERYDAY! What cha sipping on today?  Me?  I'm enjoying some awesome Vanilla Nut Cinamon Capp/Coffee mix from the local Scooter Store.  When I got up this morning I had some regular Maxwell House and that was good too. Ya'll have a wonderful, blessed and FRIENDLY Day!

I am sipping on some Caribou coffee someone gave me before we left.  I stuck it in the freezer and pulled it out when we got home.    Glad I did or we wouldn't have had any and that would have been a bad, bad thing!   It's cool and cloudy today, I'm doing laundry and STILL unpacking the last few items out of Big Bertha (our jigundy suitcase).  Trying to decide if I just want to leave the summer stuff out or pack it away a little longer.  I hope to spend the day at home, that would be a treat!  It rained last night and the grass is starting to look green!    Spring is arriving late this year and I am more than ready for it!    I know what you mean about the south, I have family in Arkansas. 

Randall, I'd like to take your challenge one step further. In addition to BEING friendly, take a few minutes to do something to tell a friend what they mean to you.  Write an email, send a text, or write a letter and put it in the mail.  Overall, people are pretty quick to vocalize when they're unhappy or upset about something, but not so much just to express their appreciation for people that mean the world to them. So figure out who means the world to you, and let them know WHY they mean the world to you!  It'll mean the world to them.

Hello Randall....I read your post quickly this morning but didn't have time to post until now. I took your advice and was VERY friendly with all those I had to deal with today. We had a big open house at our main office in St. Paul. I was chosen to be hostess of the event. I was happy to do it and totally enjoyed my day. I just kept thinking about this post and it easy to be extra friendly!! Thank you!!! Don't you know everybody Loves Lucy....we can't help ourselves. Lucy is just that kind of gal everyone wants to be around!! She is just the sweetest!! Hugs, connie d
