Any St. Cloud area youngins?

Hey!  I'm on my first day not lurking so.. Hola. :) Was just curious if there were any younger people in St. Cloud area hangin around here.. I'm going to be 21, and lookin for some people to hang out with - looking at scheduling my bypass this week with Dr. Glass! :)  -Amber

Welcome and congrats on the scheduling the surgery. Dr. Glass rocks, IMHO he is the best surgeon ever, I'm no longer technically young, but I pretend that I am really well.There is a group of people who get together in St. Cloud to go out we are all different ages. I hang out in Cloud quite a bit with my friends who are non WLS as well.

Young at heart counts in my book :) I like Dr. Glass. I can see how people would think that he might be kind of a jerk at first, he was very matter-of-fact at the meeting, but once he sees that you're serious about surgery he's great, IMO. And Kristin is an absolute DOLL - LOVE her :)  I AM SO EXCITED!

There is a young lady named Tiffany....maybe she will post a reply. Are you there Tif??????

Hey Amber! I am not exactly a youngin', but not an old fogie either!  :)  You are in great hands with Dr. G!  He ROCKS!!!!  And Kristin....well she is an angel!  Keep us posted on your progress...it will be a quick ride.  Perhaps you can roll outta bed early on a Saturday that we have coffee....we'd love to see you! Haha I forget that I don't exactly like people my age. Silly Amber!  I'm usually a pretty early riser, so coffee might be fun!  I got approved today (as in, I called the insurance company by chance and they said "Oh, your approval went through this morning, you'll get the paperwork tomorrow!), Called scheduling - they're booked solid through May, so we're lookin at Mid to end June. Hopin' I'll have my date by the end of the week. :)  Now, I'm just tryin to lose around 35 pounds before then. Oi. :)  -Amber

Hi Amber!  Just wanted to welcome you to the MN board and congratulate you on your approval!  WOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!  Me....I'm an old lady.  LOL  We're not in the St. Cloud area, but my daughter is 20 and has her first appointment on Wednesday.  Keep us updated...can't wait to hear you have a date! 

Well  I hope you don't  hate people your age -- hehe --- I'm 23.  :-) Have been on here for a little while. The  coffees are fun -- I went to my first at Maple Grove -- there were nearly 20 of us!! I will be banded May 13th. Nice to meet you and welcome!

Oh, and besides that... we have something in common -- I am a journalist! I've done print too... but I work in TV right now. :-) Nice to meet you once again!!

I am so gonna have to hold on to you for help with my TV news production class this summer :) And.. I was looking on your profile too. I have my own DDR pad for Wii - we might have to go head-to-head someday
