Really weird

Okay I am nearly 11 months post op and the weirdest thing just happend.  I have been drinking my normal bottled Aquafina and I suddenly got that tingly inside of my mouth feeling like I'm going to  and sure enough, I had to run to the bathroom and heave.  This has never happened!  What's going on?  I haven't eaten since dinner where I had part of a half order of an Asian Chicken Salad at Red Robin with my hubby.  I dump but I have never once thrown up since I had this surgery with the exception of my first day home from the hospital where I drank water too cold and my pouch started having spasms and I dry heaved. Anyone know what's going on or what happened?  I think I'm doing better now.  Weird! Michelle

Hormone changes........like a baby? Ok, seriously now.  Maybe the chicken was unsettled and it just took a little time and then your pouch had enough......maybe something not chewed well enough........hmmmm, weird, so I will stick with baby HUGS!

Believe me -- dumping can happen hours after you have eaten something.  And you can be fine with something one time and not the next and then fine with it again.  Ain't it fun!!!  Hopefully you are feeling better now.....

Thanks Barb. I'm feeling better now.  That was just a weird momentary fluke.  It had been nearly 5 hours since I'd eaten though.  Can it really take that long?  Then it dawned on me that I had run out of Splenda so I put the teeniest bit of sugar in my coffee to sweeten it and then this happened about 20 to 30 minutes later.  Could it have been that?  I have had to use a packet of sugar before when I ran out of splenda and that never happened before and when I've dumped  it lasts about a  half hour but this was literally a minute or two then I was fine.  (When I dump I don't  I feel sweaty and things happen the other end.)   Well who knows but it was icky for that little moment!  Thanks for the reply.

I had the same problem earlier this week.  I had some chicken at lunch and then about 1 1/2 hours later I felt really sick and so went in to the bathroom and and got sick.  I thought I had chewed everything well, but maybe I didn't.  I hope you are feeling better and that your tummy settled down.

Thanks Nicole.  I'm feeling better.  It was a momentary pouch fluke and then it was over.  I guess you can never be too comfy with this surgery.  11 months out and I guess I still am not sure what my pouch will yell at me about.  lol
