I hate CF, too.  What a terrible thing to happen to such a sweet lady.  Please give her my best and tell her healing prayers are on the way.  Congratulations to her for making deans list - you have a right to be proud and so does she.

Thank You all for your hugs, loving support and being proud of her deans list accomplishment. They moved Laurie to the 5A, room 16, the pediatric ward at the U. No room on 7A where she usually goes.  This is now a locked area and you have to be let in, or like for Laurie they gave her an electronic key card to let herself in and out, safety precautions because of little ones. There are a couple other young adults with CF there, I understand it is a tough time for alot of people with CF> The weather change just seems to knock them for a loop. Got the antibiotics started, but one of them has a nasty side effect of migraine type headaches so they are trying to figure out a different combination of 2 drugs.  Once they get the drugs right and see that her pft's (amount of air she can move) has started to climb again, they will let her out and she will do her drugs at home. Got her computer picked up and she has it at U of MN so hopefully she will feel well enough to post herself. Jason took Nemi home for Thursday night and I will have her Friday night. He hates hospitals and has a  tough time making himself go there, I can understand that. We are  making sure that Laurie gets to see Nemi almost every day, at least for a couple hours. Jason and I get to take Nemi for her 18 month check-up this afternoon. She is cutting molars and drooling all over the place. She gets shots today so that is part of why I will have her most of the weekend. He and Nemi do very well together, he babysits her while Laurie goes to class MWF. Gonna finish taking my night meds, I was so tired I fell asleep before I could get them in. Try to get more sleep and get up and go to work. Have a great day all, and know that I truly appreciate all your support.  I will post more later today after I find out more. All of us, Laurie, Nemi, Jason, Marlin and Karen
ONE session at a time is all I can do, multitasking is a fine art that I am still trying to master.
