What I did today for a better tomorrow.

This is a post that I will do every night (or the morning after) here and on the LapBand forum, if I can help it. You all can join in too if you'd like... it helps me see what  I have done SPECIFICALLY to help my health every day....what I have done consciously.
Today (April 15th): ---I went to my first Weigh****chers meeting and weighed in. I want to get back into it and do it weekly. --- I did not drink with meals. This was my first day doing it. I waiting a half hour before and after. --- I carried a water bottle with me and sipped, sipped, sipped. I bought a water jug to carry around. --- I exercised 20 minutes -- took  a walk with  my friend and my dog. --- I chewed my food to applesauce consistency for the first time. What a hard thing to do. --- I grocery shopped. Bought $134 worth of the healthiest and purest food I could. It will all taste good but also be healthy for me. --- I emptied all crap out of my fridge. --- I didn't drink pop... it was tough. That's my addiction. --- I didn't eat a big meal before going to bed. What did you do for your health on April 15th?

You have such a marvelous attitude about the changes you need to make in your life - you will be successful!
I added a little bit of jogging back into my evening walk with the dog. Last night was the first time I haven't worn my clunky boots and jacket, so I decided I could handle it again. Jean B.

Sounds like you are off and running. Keep up the great job. For my health I made sure to get in some extra water.

Great attitude and plan!  You are going to be very successful with this attitude.  Keep up the good work - less than a month before your big day!

I love that you make lists, you must be an organized person. I am the same way, I like to see everything on paper. It helps me too. I havent had a chance to say congratz to you on your DATE. I wish you well. As for what I did for my health, I read your post and decited to make my own nightly list, I might not post it but I AM going to make it.....I think you have a good idea here...

Do you know any post ops on W****chers?  Just wondering how the program would work for someone like me?  I'm considering it to track and manage what I eat, but I don't want them telling that I need more than I really do post operatively speaking.

I don't know anyone post op but I think that there's potential that WLS people could lower their points. But really.... no one really knows what you eat and whether or not you get all your points in except if you TELL them. It's kind of a reveal at you pace type of program. The only thing you do is weigh in and that's even in private, so to speak.Otherwise, what you eat is your business.

What an excellent idea!  I think that you are off on the right foot and will have great success! For my health yesterday I: took all of my vitamins and supplements, got in all of my protien, went to yoga class and participated fully the entire hour and got in all of my water.
